BROKEN BOW – The Broken Bow City Council will hold its first regular meeting of the month on Tuesday, February 14 at 6 p.m. at the Municipal Building.
The council will consider approving the consent agenda, which consists of the minutes from the January 24 meeting, the bills as posted, and both December and January’s treasurer reports.
The library’s annual report will be delivered before the board, and administrative updates from the city administrator are expected.
In old business, the council will revisit Ordinance 1266 which deals with the replatting of parcels for newly-proposed housing development. A public hearing will be opened regarding the initiative, and the council will consider waiving its two readings, as well as its approval.
The council will also consider approving the full purchase of a Handi Bus from the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
In new business, the council will consider accepting bids to repair the roof of the Municipal Building and the appointment of a new board member to the Board of Public Works for a term to last until June of 2026.
The council will also consider authorizing the mayor’s signing of an RST test site agreement with the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles to expire at the end of December 2023, canceling or postponing the February 28 council meeting, and passing Resolution 2023-1, which would approve the payment of regular bills from the canceled or postponed meeting.
As always, the meeting is open to the public; a full agenda is attached.
