The Custer County Salvation Army presents checks to 5 Custer County school districts before its regular meeting.

BROKEN BOW – The Custer County chapter of the Salvation Army held its regular meeting on Monday evening at the Broken Bow Public Library, with a few irregular attendees; before the chapter tackled the agenda, representatives from 5 of the county’s school districts made an appearance to receive donations for their districts’ respective book drives.

Arnold, Anselmo-Merna, Callaway, Broken Bow, and Sargent school districts each sent representatives to the meeting to divide a total of $4500 between them.

Five hundred dollars each went to Arnold, Anselmo-Merna, Callaway, and Sargent, with the remaining $2000 going to Broken Bow Public Schools. A check was made out and set aside for Ansley as well, though no representative was present.
