Funeral Services for Clara Maxine Glaze, age 102

December 5, 1919 - July 18, 2022

Clara Maxine Glaze passed away July 18 th at her home in Denver, CO.
She was 102 years and 7 months old. A memorial service will be held
Saturday, September 10 th at 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church
in Broken Bow with Reverend Becky Dobitsch officiating.

Clara Maxine Smith Glaze was born in Broken Bow in 1919 and grew up
on a ranch north of town. She was the sixth of eight children of Herb
and Bertha Smith. In high school Maxine worked at the theater in
Broken Bow. She later worked at the courthouse.

Maxine married Keith Glaze in 1941. They lived in North Platte where
she worked at the newspaper and Keith worked at a shoe store. After
Keith joined the Army Air Corp they lived in several states before
returning to Broken Bow where they started Glaze Furniture Store.
They sold the store in 1985 and traveled to Europe and Canada. Maxine
loved cooking and baking cookies for any occasion, hosting family
dinners, playing bridge, shopping for clothes and serving her church.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband Keith and grandson John
Kneipple of Pagosa Springs, CO. She is survived by son Terry of Broken
Bow, daughter Nancy and husband Steve Kneipple of Denver,
granddaughter Sarah and husband Steven Cantor, their children David,
James and Dorothy of Portland, OR, and great-granddaughter Shayla
Kneipple and great-grandson Cyrus Kneipple of Alaska.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the First Presbyterian
Church of Broken Bow.
