Husker Spring Football Update – Barrett Ruud (Inside Linebackers)

Nebraska inside  linebackers coach Barrett Ruud took a moment to visit with the media following Wednesday’s spring football practice.  Ruud had strong praise for the addition of Northern Iowa transfer Chris Kolarevic.  He said the 6’1” 230 lb. junior has proven to be a “ready made product” both physically and with his football instincts which aids in his adjustment to the speed of power five conference football.  Ruud said that with Will Honas limited following off season groin surgery and former team captain Collin Miller stepping away from football because of health concerns the theme of the spring this year has been evolving and acclimating.

Ruud spoke highly of Luke Reimer who continues to rise from walk-on to key contributor after making 40 tackles last seson.  The coach said, “He’s a natural football player.  He’s going to make a big jump from his first year starting to this year.”
