The Broken Bow boys golf team competed in its first invitational tournament of the season Friday at North Platte. Broken Bow finished fourth with a team total 368 just seven shots behind Ogallala for third. McCook won the tournament with a 323 followed by North Platte who was second. The Indians placed three golfers in the top 20. Blake Denson placed 12th with a team low 87. Nathan Reynolds was 15th on the day with an 89 and Austin Harvey was 18th with a 90. The low round of the tournament was turned in by Brady Esch of McCook who carded a 78. Other scores for the Bow varsity included Carsten Fox – 102, Zack Gaffney – 107, J.R. Schaaf – 118.
Gothenburg finished fifth in the tournament. The Swedes were led by Jake Scherer who was 13th with an 88.
