The Broken Bow girls and boys basketball teams will travel to Lexington tonight for a doubleheader. The Bow girls are now 18-1 on the season and continue to be top five ranked in Class C1 by the Omaha World Herald. The Lexington girls are 2-13 on the season. The Broken Bow boys will try to bounce back after two overtime losses last week during the SWC tournament. Broken Bow is 8-8 on the season with Lexington coming in at 3-12. Tonight’s games will be broadcast on KCNI 96.3 FM and kcni1280.com with a live video stream (accompanied by the radio call) available on the KCNI/KBBN You Tube page, Sandhills Express Facebook, and on Twitter (@KBBNsports). The girls varsity game is scheduled to tip off at 6 pm with the boys game to follow.
The Fort Kearny Conference basketball tournament continues today with the boys quarterfinals. Ansley/Litchfield is the #4 seed in the tournament and will open play against the #5 seed SEM in Loomis. The winner advances to the semifinals where they will play the winner of today’s Loomis / Overton matchup. Other quarterfinal games in the tournament include Hi-Line vs Elm Creek and Amherst vs Pleasanton.
