NSAA Releases Classifications for the 2019 Fall Activity Season – Cross Country

The Nebraska School Activities Association has released its classifications for the 2019 fall activity season in the following sports : Boys Tennis, Girls Golf, Softball, Boys and Girls Cross Country, and Volleyball. Teams are classified based on enrollment numbers.  Today we post where area schools are classified for the upcoming season in the sport of cross country.

The Broken Bow cross country team will compete in Class C this year. Broken Bow is listed with a total team enrollment of 175. Aurora shows the highest team enrollment in Class C with 300 while Malcolm has the smallest with 139. Joining Broken Bow in Class C are fellow Southwest Conference rivals Gothenburg and Cozad.

Class D is the largest classification in terms of number of schools and teams included. Class D ranges from Gordon-Rushville and Louisville who show total team enrollments of 138 down to Banner County which is listed with a team enrollment of 21. Included in Class D for cross country this season are Ansley/Litchfield, Arcadia/Loup City, South Loup (Arnold and Callaway), Burwell, Sandhills Valley (Stapleton and McPherson County), Twin Loup (Sargent and Loup County), Sandhills/Thedford, SEM, and Mullen.
