Peru shutting water services off. College closing until further notice
Flooding in Peru (Nebraska State Patrol)

PERU – Officials at Peru State College have closed the campus and cancelled classes on Monday – and perhaps longer – due to the flooding threat and the city’s water treatment plant being flooded.

In an email to students and faculty, the college is encouraging students on campus and in town to “go someplace more comfortable through at least Monday evening.”

The city issued an order to discontinue all use of municipal water until further notice. Residents are advised to not drink, bathe, wash dishes, do laundry, etc. until the issue is resolved.

Water services will be shut off.

Peru State students were told to let their resident advisory know when they will be leaving.
