Business Community Invited to Legislative Forum on Tuesday Morning
Legislative Forum Tuesday, September 19 at 7:30 a.m. hosted by Nebraska State Chamber

Legislative Forum
Tuesday, September 19th 7:30 a.m. at the Bonfire Grill (509 S 9th Ave #103, Broken Bow).

For more than three decades, the State Chamber has conducted Legislative forums in cooperation with local chambers across the state. The forums allow the Chamber to gather input from business leaders on issues of concern. Staff also provide summaries of recent state legislation and reviews of how Nebraska is performing in key areas of economic competitiveness.

This year’s State Chamber forums will include a review of legislation from the 2017 session of the Nebraska Legislature, as well as issues awaiting the 2018 session. The latest state rankings regarding the business community will also be discussed.

Local and state chamber of commerce members, along with members of the news media, are invited to attend. Senator Matt Williams will be attending and have a few words to say.

“We really intend to have an opportunity for businesses to come and talk about what their state government can do to help them,” Senator Williams said.

Nebraska Chamber President Barry Kennedy said, “From workforce and housing shortages, to taxes and government mandates, the business community has its share of challenges. But there is also much reason for optimism. These forums give local leaders a chance to tell the State Chamber what’s on their mind, while gaining more insight into the factors helping and hurting Nebraska businesses.”

**It is requested that anyone interested in attending, register ahead of time for breakfast (provided by RJ Thomas and Jerry Adams). To make reservations, contact the Broken Bow Chamber office at 308-872-5691 or email [email protected].

The State Chamber is Nebraska’s largest statewide business association and has proudly served as the voice of the business community since 1912. The Nebraska Chamber is the state affiliate of both the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Manufacturers.
