The Broken Bow Public Library is thrilled to have Carson Vaughan, Broken Bow High School graduate and freelance writer, visit the library on Tuesday, April 16 th at 7:00 p.m. Carson’s first book, Zoo Nebraska, has just been published and he is including Broken Bow on his book release tour of the state.

A press release of the books says “written in the tradition of some of our best American reportage—think Susan Orlean, John McPhee, Truman Capote, or ‘This American Life’—Zoo Nebraska is a resonant true story of small town politics and community perseverance, and of decent people and questionable choices.

While at the library, Carson will read from his book, there will be time for questions, as well as an opportunity to hear about his freelance reporting. You can also buy Zoo Nebraska that night and Carson will sign your copy. This author visit is sponsored by the Broken Bow Library Foundation.
