A woman was killed and a man was critically wounded in a shooting late Tuesday afternoon in northwest Omaha.

Authorities say no suspects are considered at large.

The shooting was reported at 4:58 p.m. at 4602 N. 134th Ave.

Captain Wayne Hudson of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office gave this account:

Shortly before 5 p.m., a male caller dialed 911, reported a shooting and hung up.

A sheriff’s deputy arrived within two to three minutes and found one person dead and another wounded, Hudson said.

Hudson provided no other details except to say there was no danger to the general public.

Investigators are working to determine what led up to the shooting, said Chief Deputy Thomas Wheeler.
