PENDER, Neb. -- A northeast Nebraska man will spend the next three years behind bars for an assault that left a man hospitalized for several days.
31-year-old Wakaja Harden of Winnebago was sentenced Wednesday to 41 months in prison for the assault.
Authorities say Harden attacked the victim last year while they were sleeping. After the assault, officials say the victim went outside to ask the neighbors for help.
The victim had to be taken by medical helicopter to a hospital in Sioux City for his injuries.
