WAYNE, Neb. – Wayne State rugby will compete in New Orleans for a national championship.
Both the women’s and men’s rugby teams traveling to Louisiana to play in the Collegiate Rugby Championship (CRC).
Coach Darrin Barner says Wayne is just one of a handful of schools able to bring both teams to the tournament.
“We’ve got a winning tradition here and nothing breeds success but success,” said Barner.
The teams loaded on a bus, leaving Wayne State College around 10:30 a.m.
The women’s first game is set for 9:23 a.m Saturday. The men’s game is at 12:27 p.m.
