SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - A two-day water conference is happening in Scottsbluff on Monday at the Panhandle Research and Extension Center.
This conference will raise awareness of the state of water in western Nebraska including water quantity, quality, infrastructure, legal issues, and new research. The conference will also feature a research poster session and evening banquet. This event is great for all of Nebraska, especially the farm and ranch community
Jesse Starita who is the PR AND Engagement Coordinator for this conference says, “I think that is a really exciting part of the conference that we do have some people that do research on those different crops and how to make them more resilient in the face of droughts and extreme weather. And that’s going to be a really important part of sustaining agriculture in western Nebraska in the future.”
