Vehicle accidents near Beatrice, Clatonia cause injuries

BEATRICE – Two Sunday night motor vehicle accidents in Gage County caused injuries to three persons.

Gage County Sheriff’s deputies say one of accidents happened at about 7:25 p.m., at South 10th Road and Linden Drive, southeast of Beatrice.

A 2007 Ford Freestyle driven by 32-year-old Betty O’Neal of Wymore was traveling west on Linden Drive approaching South 10th…a T-intersection.  The vehicle went into the west ditch, struck a fence, then crossed over South 10th where it hit a second fence in the east ditch. 

Authorities say O’Neal was taken by ambulance to Beatrice Community Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

A second accident happened Sunday at about 11:15 p.m., southwest of Clatonia.   Deputies say a 2016 Nissan Rogue driven by 39-year-old Heidi Clary, of DeWitt was southbound on Southwest 114th Road…when the vehicle left the roadway.  It drove through a yard, hitting a tree. 

Clatonia Rescue took Clary to Bryan West Health Center in Lincoln for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.  A passenger was taken to Beatrice Community Hospital for treatment.
