UPDATE: Suspect in Cedar County pursuit arrested

HARTINGTON, Neb. -- A South Dakota man who led police on a pursuit before fleeing on foot into a cornfield this week in northeast Nebraska is behind bars.

The Cedar County Sheriff's Office said Friday that 34-year-old Nathan Murphree, of Yankton, has been arrested.

Authorities say they were notified by South Dakota authorities Tuesday evening of a car they were pursuing heading into Cedar County.

Deputies intercepted the pursuit west of Wynot and stopped the car before Murphree fled on foot.

A woman was also arrested and taken to jail.
