Unknown suspect fires gun leaves two injured

OMAHA, Neb. -- Early Sunday morning, Omaha Police responded to a shooting at 30th and Parker streets. 

Police say that an off-duty officer was working at a nearby business when they heard gunfire around 12:53 a.m. Minutes later a shooting victim, 42-year-old Sheqeita Clark arrived at CUMC - University Campus.

Clark had been transported from Creighton to CUMC - Bergan Mercy Hospital. 

The release says that there was another victim, 35-year-old Marcus Magness, who arrived at the Nebraska Medical Center with a minor injury. 

The police say that investigators determined that both Clark and Magness were in a vehicle near 30th and Parker streets when an unknown suspect discharged their firearm, injuring both of the victims. 

This is an ongoing investigation.
