Union raises concerns with NSP border deployment, expresses support of troopers

LINCOLN, Neb. -- The State Troopers Association of Nebraska is raising concerns about Gov. Pete Ricketts' decision to deploy two dozen troopers to the U.S.-Mexico border in Texas.

The concerns are in a letter address to members of the group.

The letter also makes clear that the troopers' union supports members of NSP who have been or will be deployed at the border.

The association president provided a list of concerns that he wants to address, including equipment upgrades, training and legal representation.

The letter asks for a response by the end of Wednesday.
