Two-car collision slows traffic, in north Beatrice

BEATRICE – Beatrice Police and fire and rescue responded to a two-vehicle collision in north Beatrice, just after 9 a.m., Friday.  A police sergeant said no one was seriously hurt, nor required transport to the nearby Beatrice Community Hospital.

The collision at U.S. Highway 77 and Airpark Road, the entrance to the Beatrice Walmart store, slowed northbound traffic on the highway.  Police initially directed traffic west onto Airpark Road, but later reopened one of the northbound lanes to allow vehicles through.

The accident scene was cleared in just over a half-hour.  The two cars involved in the collision were hauled from the scene by a local towing company.
