Two people have been arrested in Kearney after authorities found nearly five pounds of meth.

The Central Nebraska Drug and Safe Streets Task Force served a search warrant at a home in Kearney on Friday.

During the search, investigators found 4.93 pounds of meth. The two people inside, a 19-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, were booked into Buffalo County Jail on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.

The law enforcement agencies involved in the search were Nebraska State Patrol, Kearney Police Department and Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office. Other agencies also are part of the task force.
