Troopers seize thousands of hash oil cartridges and a gun at I-80 rest stop

NORTH PLATTE - A Louisiana man is in a Nebraska jail after authorities seized thousands of vape cartridges from his vehicle. The seizure occured on Friday, February 2nd on an eastbound rest area on I-80. The Nebraska State Patrol says that a trooper was having a conversation with a man until he became suspicious of criminal activity. The driver of the vehicle gave the officer permission to search his car. The officer found four boxes of hash oil vape pen cartridges, worth about $238,000, and a loaded handgun. The driver of the car was identified David Poarch of Louisiana. He was arrested on multiple charges and is currently housed in the Lincoln County Jail.
