Trio of Nebraskans included on list of top ten cattle industry leaders under 40
Jack Arterburn
CHADRON - A Nebraska Extension Beef Systems Educator in the northern panhandle has been selected as one of the "Top Ten Industry Leaders Under the Age of 40" by the Cattle Business Weekly, a leading agricultural publication based in Philip, S.D.

Jack Arterburn, who grew up in Sidney, Neb., was one of ten individuals who are making a significant contribution to the cattle industry. His selection was based on his involvement and accomplishments in the ag industry, what role he plays in bettering agriculture for the future, and what impact he's had on his local communities.

Arterburn graduated with his Bachelor's in Fisheries and Wildlife (Habitat Management) and Master's in Natural Resource Science (Applied Ecology) from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He's been a UNL Extension Educator since 2016. He's responsible for beef systems programming primarily for northern Panhandle counties and across the state. “We always appreciate the different individuals that make up the top ten," CBW Editor Codi Vallery-Mills said in a news release. "It’s a great reminder of what it takes to make American agriculture what it is. This class of leaders is a great example of what the next generation of farmers and ranchers is doing today.” This year’s class consists of cattle producers, auctioneers, tech gurus, media experts, feedlot operators, beef educators and veterinarians. Jordan and Drew Feller from Wisner, Neb. were also included on the the list. Follow Hunter on Twitter: @TheBurnRadio
