Train derailed south of Dakota City

Authorities say no one is injured after a train derailment in northeast Nebraska.

The derailment happened south of Dakota City, along Hwy 77 near the intersection with 220th Street. 

Burlington Northern Santa Fe says two locomotives and six cars derailed as a result of the accident, but all remained upright.

No one was injured as a result. 

No major roadways are being blocked.

Crews remain in the area and an investigation is underway.
