An area of northeast Nebraska already hit hard by Mother Nature is recovering from severe weather again.

Tornado warnings were issued Sunday evening in portions of Boyd County. Images published by O’Neill radio station KBRX on their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/KBRX-ONeill-130794060334695/) showed rope tornadoes forming near the town of Butte. Boyd County law enforcement did confirm a tornado touching down about two miles northwest of the town of Spencer.

High winds did affect the temporary bridge at the Spencer Dam. The temporary stoplight on the north side of the bridge that just opened on Friday was blown over.
