Three additional charges in Torrington homicide case

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) – There’s a new development in the homicide case in Torrington involving the death of Madison Cook.

Torrington Police Department said they met with Goshen County Attorney’s office this afternoon and filed three more charges against alleged suspect Sean Logan Pettus. The charges include first degree murder, burglary for actions taken while committing the crime of first degree arson and burglary for actions taken while committing the crime of felony theft of a vehicle.

Torrington Police Department said Pettus is currently a Goshen County Sheriff’s Detention Center on charges of first degree arson and felony theft of a vehicle. The investigation is ongoing and the Torrington Police ask for the continuing support of the Cook family in their healing process.
