NORFOLK – A fundraiser is celebrating a decade of supporting northeast Nebraska breast cancer patients.
For The Girls is a non-profit that has been raising money in Norfolk for ten years, raising over $1 million worth of support for those going through breast cancer and raising awareness about an affliction that kills over 43,000 women annually.
For The Girls’ annual fundraiser is coming up – a garden party at Norfolk Country Club to celebrate their decade.
Makala Williams of For The Girls says coming off a pandemic year, the awareness component of their work is just as important as the dollars they raise.
“I think just to continue talking about breast cancer research, and raising breast cancer awareness is very beneficial for everybody,” Williams said.
The For The Girls Garden Party is set for June 16th.
