A first-grade teacher who has been charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child gave detectives a list of other girls he had touched inappropriately at schools where he previously had taught, a prosecutor said Wednesday.

Gregory Sedlacek, 30, was ordered held on no bail during his first appearance in court Wednesday morning.

Sedlacek was arrested Monday after other teachers at Fontenelle Elementary School contacted the Nebraska child abuse hotline on Nov. 20. The teachers said they saw “inappropriate contact” that day between Sedlacek and a first-grade girl on the school playground, Omaha police said.

The prosecutor said Wednesday that the teachers saw Sedlacek touching the girl’s buttocks as she sat on his lap at the bottom of a slide.

Sedlacek was placed on administrative leave that day, an Omaha Public Schools official said.

The prosecutor said Sedlacek listed other girls he had touched inappropriately at the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, on the Nebraska-South Dakota border, and at Omaha’s Sacred Heart Catholic School.

Sedlacek had taught at Fontenelle, at 3905 N. 52nd St., for three years.
