STEELE CITY, NE — Multiple people are being treated for injuries after three motorcycles crashed in southeast Nebraska.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says a group of motorcycles were traveling westbound on Highway 8 near Steele City on Saturday. Authorities say a lead motorcycle slowed to turn left on to N 2nd St. and three following motorcycles swerved to avoid a collision. Those three all hit each other and the drivers were ejected.
The Sheriff’s Office says a medical helicopter transported one driver to a Lincoln hospital and another was transported by ambulance. The third driver had minor injuries and wasn’t transported.
Steele City Fire, Jefferson County Rescue, Jefferson County Ambulance, Fairbury Rural Fire, Diller Ambulance and Diller Fire all assisted at the scene.
