Southeast Community College completes second new residential hall, at Milford

MILFORD - Southeast Community College officials marked conmpletion of a second new residence hall on the school's Milford Campus, this week.

Construction is complete on what's named Meadow Hall, on Southeast Community College’s Milford Campus. The 54,268 square-foot building will house nearly 150 students.   College officials held a ribbon-cutting on Wednesday.

The rooms each have a kitchenette area with a refrigerator, microwave oven and sink.

Milford Campus Director Ed Koster says all students who choose to attend college at the campus will now have suite-style housing units.

Tours of the facilities were provided.

In 2018, SCC’s Board of Governors approved issuing up to $19.5 million in revenue bonds to finance new residence halls at both the Milford and Beatrice campuses, as well as the new dining facility at the Beatrice Campus.

The new residence hall at Milford is a twin of Prairie Hall, built two years ago. Sampson Construction was the contractor and Clark Enerson served as the architect.
