Snow, colder temperatures in the forecast Monday

KIMBALL – A strong cold front is forecast to bring much colder temperatures and accumulating snow to the Kimball area Monday.

A winter weather advisory is in effect until 11 p.m. for Kimball, Banner, Dawes, Sheridan and Sioux Counties in Nebraska. All of southeast Wyoming, including Laramie and Goshen Counties, are also in the advisory.

The National Weather Service says two to five inches of snow can be expected in Kimball, Pine Bluffs, Torrington and Chadron. The Snowy Range could receive six to ten inches.

Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility and cause slick road conditions, according to the weather service. They say the hazardous conditions could impact the Monday evening commute.
