Sidney woman’s bad day overshadowed by lottery win

SIDNEY - A Sidney woman is $50,000 richer after playing the Nebraska Lottery this month.

Lottery officials announced Jackey Vizina won the prize money playing a game known as "Diamonda and Dollars."

"I was having a bad day, but this overshadowed it," Vizina said.

The Nebraska Lottery sells $1, $3, $2, $5, $10 and $20 Scratch tickets, and offers Lotto games such as Lucky For Life, Powerball, 2by2, Pick 5, Pick 3, MyDaY, and Mega Millions.

Scratch ticket sales began on Sept. 11, 1993, and Lotto ticket sales began on July 21, 1994.

The lottery has donated $818 million back to Nebraska.
