PLATTSMOUTH – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office reports a water skiing injury at Copper Dollar Cove on Thursday morning.
Deputies and Plattsmouth Fire and Rescue responded around 11 a.m. to a boating accident near Fir Circle.
A sheriff’s office press release says a ski boat driven by 78-year-old Mike Tabler of Plattsmouth was pulling skier 79-year-old Tom Dunn of Plattsmouth on the slalom buoy course. Dunn was injured while hitting the water during a wake crossing.
Tabler was able to retrieve Dunn from the water and brought him to shore. Dunn was taken to Nebraska Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
