Second collision in two weeks, at downtown Beatrice intersection

BEATRICE – A two-vehicle collision at Sixth and Ella in downtown Beatrice apparently did not result in any transport to a hospital, for injuries.

The collision was the second one in the past two weeks at the same intersection.

Beatrice Police, Nebraska State Patrol and a Beatrice Fire and Rescue unit went to the scene at around 7:25 p.m., Saturday.  The driver of a westbound Kia Soul allegedly ran a red light and struck the passenger side of a northbound Honda Accord.

The collision resulted in no serious injuries.   Northbound traffic on Sixth was able to move through the intersection, but southbound traffic was diverted and westbound travel on Ella was blocked while the accident was investigated.
