Rodeo and rides on opening day of the Gage County Fair and Expo

BEATRICE - An association that goes by the motto, “Building Confidence One Ride at a Time”, put on a youth rodeo Wednesday night, capping off the first day of the Gage County Fair and Expo.

The Tuff N Nuff Miniature Rodeo Association performed at the fairgrounds horse arena, with competitors 19 years of age and younger.

The rodeo includes saddle bronc and bareback riding, barrel racing and bull riding.  The association is holding events in Holdrege, Beatrice and Aurora this summer.

Thursday’s second day of the Gage County Fair includes Horse and Dairy Shows, a Bucket Calf Show, Stocker-Feeder and Sheep Shows.

The D.C. Pride of Texas Midway is offering rides on the north side of the fairgrounds and evening entertainment includes a country acoustic performer in the fair’s beer garden.
