Robots on the Clock at Omaha VA Medical Center

OMAHA - Unmanned robots are working hard in the elevators and hallways of the Omaha VA Medical Center. The robots, known as Tugs, help the staff of the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System around the clock. According to hospital equipment specialist, the robots deliver logistical items, lab samples and more. With an attachment, Tugs can carry around 900 lbs at a time. Similar robots are at other VA’s in Pittsburgh, Dallas, Houston, and New York.
