LINCOLN, Neb. -- Governor Pete Ricketts, Omaha Public School Superintendent Dr. Cheryl Logan and several health experts have a new vaccination message for one specific age group.
On Monday, Ricketts urged high this year’s high school graduates to make the vaccination part of their graduation activities.
"We're here today to encourage all those high school graduates, now that Pfizer's available for folks that are 12 and above, we're encouraging our high school graduates to get that vaccine as part of your high school graduation," Ricketts said in a Monday press conference.
The governor is also asking parents of children aged 12-15 to get their kids vaccinated, now that Pfizer shots for that age group are available.
