A 61-year-old Red Cloud man has been killed in a tractor crash in south-central Nebraska.
The Webster County Sheriff's Office said David Mohlman died in the crash Friday around 7:15 p.m. south of Red Cloud on U.S. Highway 281.
The Sheriff's Office said Mohlman was driving the tractor and pulling a planter southbound on the highway when the crash occurred.
The planter caught the southbound guardrail on the Republican River bridge and then a piece of concrete, the Sheriff's Office said.
The planter and tractor, with Mohlman inside the cab, went over the bridge, landing just shy of the river, the Sheriff's Office said.
Red Cloud is situated about 40 miles south of Hastings.
