President taps State Patrol retiree as next U.S. marshal for Nebraska

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump has tapped Scott Kracl as Nebraska’s next U.S. marshal. He’s a veteran of the Nebraska State Patrol, having served for 29 years before retiring in 2017.
“Scott Kracl’s experience and dedication to public safety will serve Nebraska well,” Sen. Deb Fischer, R-Neb., said in a press release. “His 30 years of service on the Nebraska State Patrol was the reason I recommended Scott to the president.”
He still must be confirmed to the post by the U.S. Senate.
