LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Lincoln Police Department is investigating a fatal motorcycle accident from Saturday night.
The Nebraska State Patrol was notified that the Gage County Sheriff's Office was chasing a motorcycle on Highway 77 in southeast Lincoln. Soon, two troopers spotted the motorcycle and drove after it.
Before either trooper was able to stop it, the motorcycle crashed into the rear of a Jeep.
Troopers arrived on scene moments later and attempted life-saving measures on the motorcyclist. The 28-year-old male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Jeep driver was uninjured.
