Lincoln police have arrested a man in connection to a woman who was fatally stabbed Monday evening.
Tuesday morning, Lincoln police officers arrested Neland Tevionn Gray Jr., 21, of Lincoln, for first-degree murder and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
The woman who was killed has been identified. Police will reveal her name at a Wednesday morning press briefing.
Shortly after 7 p.m. Monday, emergency personnel were called to the 1900 block of Montclair Drive in Lincoln on a report of an unconscious woman in a driveway. The woman had multiple stab wounds.
She was taken to a local hospital where she later died, according to a statement from the Lincoln Police Department.
An autopsy began Tuesday morning. Investigators are conducting interviews, analyzing forensic and digital evidence.
