Police holding gun, ammo, fireworks amnesty day

A year ago Omaha police got their hands on 55 guns and 1,400 pounds of fireworks, just by asking.

Tomorrow (Saturday) OPD is holding another gun, ammunition and fireworks amnesty day, promising all can be dropped off with no questions asked.

On Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. you can bring your weapons to two sites in town.

Seymour Smith Park at 72nd and Harrison on the south side and Fire Station 43 at 103rd and Fort on the north side.
