NORFOLK — Gov. Pete Ricketts held town halls, Thursday, to speak on the 30×30 plan. At the Norfolk town hall, republican Jim Pillen also spoke.
Pillen is running for governor of Nebraska.
He expressed that there was nothing he agrees with in the 30 x 30 agenda to protect the environment.
“I think we know how to take care of our land,” he said, expressing his belief that climate protection should not be a federal priority.
The 30×30 plan is an attempt to save the environment through partnerships, according to the Biden administration.
Ricketts’ town halls will continue June 7.
