Passenger killed in rollover crash on I-80 near Seward

A 33-year-old New York man died in a one-vehicle rollover crash early Friday on Interstate 80 near Seward, Nebraska.

Lawrence V. DiRienzo III, of Fairport, New York, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to a Nebraska State Patrol spokesman.

Dirienzo was a passenger in a vehicle driven by his wife, Jessica DiRienzo, 28. The vehicle was heading west on I-80 at 1:22 a.m. when it lost control just west of the Seward interchange and rolled over.

The state patrol didn’t have any information on injuries to the driver. The crash is being investigated by the Seward County Sheriff’s Office.
