NORFOLK, Neb. – Norfolk Police made a pair of unrelated meth arrests on Sunday.
At 9:54 a.m., officers arrived at a parking lot in the 900 block of Omaha Avenue after a caller noted a woman passed out in a vehicle. NPD identified the woman as Amber J. Redwing, 29, of Norfolk.
Officers noticed open alcohol containers in the vehicle and conducted a DUI investigation. The results showed that she was not impaired. In a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers recovered a glass pipe that tested positive for methamphetamine.
Later, at 2:25 p.m., an NPD officer saw a 32-year-old homeless man, Jordan T. McIntosh, walking in the 100 block of S. 6th Street. The officer knew McIntosh had an active Madison County arrest warrant and attempted to make contact. At that point, the officer said, McIntosh began running, leading to a foot chase.
After the officer apprehended McIntosh, a search revealed two bags of methamphetamine.
Both Redwing and McIntosh were house in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
