Omaha Police seeking help locating potential kidnapping suspect

OMAHA, Neb. -- Authorities are asking for the public's help in locating a potential kidnapping suspect.

Omaha Police say officers responded to a call of an attempted abduction last month.

They say a 17-year-old girl was walking near 30th Street and Jaynes Street when a car began following her.

Police say the driver got out and tried to drag her into the car. The victim was able to fight off the suspect.

The car is described as an early 2000s Chevrolet Tahoe with black rims.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 25 years old, with shoulder-length dreadlocks.
