Omaha man sentenced to 7 years in prison for child pornography

OMAHA, Neb. -- An Omaha man will spend the next several years behind bars.

58-year-old Scott Robertson of Omaha was sentenced Monday to 7 years in prison for child pornography.

In 2019, authorities say officers executed a search warrant at Robertson's home,

He admitted that his computer contained child pornography.

Police found more than 20,000 images and 900 videos on thumb drives, CD's, and computers.

After completing his term, Robertson will begin a 10-year term of supervised release.

Last year he had been arrested after driving a snow plow into the Platte River, while he was being surveilled by the U.S. Marshals.

At this point, he was under investigation after a cyber tip from Microsoft sent to officials, and he allegedly admitted to possessing and looking at images for five years.

His victims were considered "extremely young to teenagers," while including at least one victim as young as 6-months-old. Many of the images he possessed were illegal and explicit in nature.
