Norfolk man sentenced for slashing another man’s throat at party

MADISON, Neb. — A 37-year-old Norfolk man has been sentenced to 12-19 years in prison for slashing another man’s throat at a party last year.

Jay Aldag was sentenced Thursday by Judge Mark Johnson.

On February 20 of last year, Madison County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 500 Block of West Eisenhower Avenue before 4:00 a.m. in response to an altercation.

During the altercation, Aldag cut the throat of another male before fleeing the scene.

The victim was treated with non-life-threatening injuries, and Aldag was recovered by local authorities in Norfolk.
