STANTON COUNTY – A man is in custody after fleeing from police in Stanton County on Saturday morning.
The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office says deputies attempted to stop a pickup on Highway 275 east of Norfolk for driving with no tail lights. The pickup fled at high speeds and was finally stopped after crossing over Highway 24.
37-year-old Leonardo Saldana-Castaneda was arrested for willful reckless driving and operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest.
He is also facing a child abuse charge due to a 12-year-old male being in the vehicle during the pursuit.
