Norfolk man arrested after attack on store clerk

NORFOLK, Neb. -- A Norfolk man is in jail after authorities say he attacked a store clerk.

22-year old Josue Larios Ramos was arrested early Sunday morning. Police say Ramos was a customer at a store on East Omaha Avenue.

The clerk told police that they refused to sell alcohol to Ramos because he appeared to be already intoxicated. Police say in response. Ramos then allegedly picked up a wire rack and threw it at the clerk.

Ramos was arrested on felony assault charges. He's currently housed in the Madison County Jail.
