Norfolk Chamber CEO & President resigning from post

NORFOLK, Neb. — A Norfolk economic development leader is stepping down.

The Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce announced Wednesday morning that they have accepted the resignation of CEO Denise Wilkinson.

Wilkinson said in a statement that she is pursuing different business opportunities moving forward. She will remain in her current position through June 30th. She had been Norfolk’s Chamber Director since 2018.

“Through COVID, she was a community leader,” said chair of board of directors Brad Dinkel. He said other areas would even reach out for help from her for relief funding information.

The chamber board says they will be posting to find Wilkinson’s replacement.

The next candidate must be social. “You deal with a lot of different people and area businesses,” Dinkel said.
